Our Coating Process
-
Step 1: Prep the Concrete
We will use our best-in-class diamond grinding techniques to prepare the floor for coating adhesion. Our grinders will be connected with a vacuum to minimize dust.
-
Step 2: Fill Cracks and Test Concrete
We will fill all cracks with trusted fillers to ensure a solid base and avoidany future unwanted cracks. Using a moisture reader will help determine if your concrete will need a protective moisture barrier prior to the primer application.
-
Step 3: Apply Basecoat
We will apply a strong, 100% solids epoxy basecoat to the floor. This will create a durable base layer that is the foundation of the coating process.
-
Step 4: Throw the Flake
While the base coat is still curing, we will throw our personalized colored chips to give your floor that aesthetically pleasing look to it.
-
Step 5: Scrape Up Excess Flakes
When the base coat dries, we will scrape and collect all excess flakes that aren’t cured with the epoxy
-
Step 6: Apply the Top Coat
Finally, we will apply our industry-leading, UV-resistant Polyaspartic top coat to give your floor a strong, glossy finish.
